Birth Pool Rental Kit

Planning a homebirth or want to labor in water before heading to the hospital? Our Birth Pool Kits are here to support your calm, empowered birth experience.

Whether you're welcoming your baby at home or using the pool for comfort during early labor, our rental kits make it easy. The pool is lightweight (when empty) and can be moved from room to room with ease. Setup is quick—just unpack, inflate, fill, and you're ready to sink into warm, soothing water.

Curious about the safety of water birth? This article from Evidence Based Birth® breaks it down beautifully.

Price:

$199 / 4 week rental

✔️ Free pickup and delivery within 20 miles of East Berlin, PA

✔️ Additional birth supplies available as add-ons below

What's Included:

  • Birth Pool in a Box, Mini size (blue or white)
  • Disposable single use pool liner (must be used when using the pool)
  • Air pump

What You Will Need:

  • Every birth requires a fresh hose to avoid contamination. You can buy a hose here.
  • In order to connect your hose to your faucet, you may need an adapter. I suggest trying Lowes/Home Depot. This adapter typically works with most hoses/faucets (but you may need to double check depending on the style of your faucet).
  • After you are done with the pool you will need a water pump to remove all the water from the pool. This is a good pump option.
  • Lastly, in order to keep the pool warm, I suggest getting a pool cover (be sure to get the mini size). This is not a necessity, but it can help save having to continually boil water if you choose to get in and out of the pool during labor.

**Please note: If you rent my birth pool, this must be returned in the perfect, clean, well working condition that it was loaned in, or a replacement fee of $380 will be charged. By choosing to rent my birth pool, you agree to these conditions.

FAQ:

Q: What is included in the rental?

The rental includes 4 weeks time, the birth pool, disposable pool liner, and air pump. You must purchase drinking water hose, water pump for emptying, and a sink adapter.

Q: How long is the rental period?

The included rental period is 4 weeks of your choosing. (Typically weeks 38-42, or 37-41). Additional weeks can be purchased at $50 per week.

Q: Where is the pick up/drop off location?

Pick up and returns are in East Berlin, PA.  Optionally, delivery and pick up service may be purchased separately if further than 20 miles from East Berlin, PA.

Q: How much is the security deposit?

The $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your booking.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

Bookings cancelled after 36 weeks or after receiving the birth pool are not refundable

Q: What am I responsible/need to have?

You will need to provide you own hose for filling and emptying the pool. A RV drinking water hose is strongly recommended for filling, as garden hoses can contain lead, BPS's, and other toxic contaminates.

You need to purchase a sink adapter for your specific sink.

You need to purchase a water pump for emptying the pool.

You will be responsible for picking up the pool, (unless I am providing delivery), setting it up, taking it down and doing basic cleaning of the pool after use, and returning it to me (unless I am picking up).

I strongly recommend doing a practice setup of the pool and familiarizing yourself with it before the start of labor.

Q: Are the pools cleaned before use?

Yes! A disposable liner must be used with each rental, but I also thoroughly clean and sanitize with hospital grade sanitizer and following strict cleaning and sanitizing protocols at every step of the process.

Q: How long does it take to set up/take down?

If you familiarize yourself with the pool set should take 30-60 minutes, depending mostly on your water pressure. Take down takes around the same amount of time.

Q: What do I need to do before returning the pool?

While you do not need to do a thorough sanitizing, please make sure the pool and all components are rinsed, free of large particulate or visible blood/fluids, and that everything is dried before packing it back into the box.
